Board socks — everyday light protection
A board sock is a stretchy fabric sleeve that slides over your surfboard. It's the lightest protection option — minimal bulk, protects against minor dings and scratches from car interiors and board racks, and keeps UV off your resin between sessions.
What a board sock is — and isn't
A board sock is not a travel bag and will not protect against serious impact. It has no foam padding. Think of it as a dust cover with light scratch protection for everyday local use. For travel or extended storage, you need a day bag or travel bag.
Brands and sizes
Block Surf socks in shortboard, fish, and longboard sizes from 5'6" to 10'0". Roam socks in short, fish/hybrid, fun, and longboard styles including stripe and blue colorways. Veia socks in 6'6", 7'0", and 8'0". Dakine Mission Hybrid in 6'6" also serves as a sock-style cover. Channel Islands Snuggie SP and HP Board Sox in shortboard sizes 6'0" to 7'6".
Sizing
Match the sock length to your board length — a sock that's too short won't cover the nose, a sock that's too long bunches at the tail. Fish socks are cut wider at the nose to accommodate wider fish outlines.
