The Lost Smooth Operator is built for clean lines, easy speed, and effortless wave-catching—perfect when you want maximum glide without going full longboard. This 7'0" x 21.25" x 2.82" (46.3L) size brings serious paddle power and stability, making it a killer option for cruising into waves early, trimming through sections, and linking turns with confidence. Finished with a resin tint, it’s a head-turner in the rack and on the water.

Why the Smooth Operator Makes Surfing Easier

  • Early entry advantage: 46.3L helps you paddle faster and catch waves sooner.
  • Glide for days: Longer rail line and width carry speed through flatter sections.
  • Stable and confidence-building: Great for drawing clean lines and staying composed at speed.
  • FCS II Tri/Quad versatility: Thruster for control, quad for extra drive and down-the-line speed.
  • Resin tint finish: A custom look that stands out and adds serious style points.

How It Surfs

Think smooth, fast, and forgiving. The Smooth Operator is designed to build speed naturally and keep momentum through sections—ideal for points, reefs, and beach breaks when you want to maximize wave count. It’s stable enough to relax and trim, but still turnable when you step back and set a rail. The extra foam makes paddling and positioning easier, especially in currents or crowded lineups.

Great For

  • Surfers who want more waves without riding a full longboard
  • Shoulder-high cruisers and clean runners where glide and trim shine
  • Anyone who wants a stable mid-length that still feels performance-capable

Fin Setup Tips: Thruster vs. Quad

The FCS II Tri/Quad setup lets you fine-tune the Smooth Operator depending on the wave:

  • Thruster (tri-fin): More control and a tighter turning feel—great for steeper sections and pocket surfing.
  • Quad: Extra speed and drive down the line—perfect for long walls and connecting sections.

Note: Fins are not included, so you can choose the FCS II templates that match your stance and local conditions.

Resin Tint Details

A resin tint adds a custom, classic look that pairs perfectly with a glide-friendly mid-length like this. Because resin tints are part of the glassing process, each board can have slight variations—making your Smooth Operator feel a little more one-of-a-kind.

FAQ: Lost Smooth Operator 7'0" (46.3L) FCS II

Are fins included with this board?

No—this board is listed as fins not included. It uses an FCS II Tri/Quad (5-fin) setup, so you’ll need FCS II fins.

What’s the advantage of a 7'0" mid-length with 46.3L volume?

The extra length and volume make paddling easier, help you catch waves earlier, and provide stability when trimming or drawing longer lines—great for maximizing wave count in everyday conditions.

Should I run it as a thruster or a quad?

Start with a thruster if you want control and a familiar feel. Switch to a quad when you want more down-the-line speed and drive, especially on longer walls or softer sections.

Is the Smooth Operator a good alternative to a longboard?

For many surfers, yes. It offers much of the wave-catching and glide you want, but with a shorter, more maneuverable feel than a full longboard— especially if you like turning from the mid-to-back third of the board.

Do resin tints affect performance?

Resin tint is primarily a visual/glassing finish. Performance comes from the shape, dims, and fin setup—this board just adds extra style to the ride.
