The Lost Mini Driver is a compact performance shortboard built for quick direction changes, tight-pocket surfing, and a lively, responsive feel underfoot. In this 5'6" x 18.75" x 2.3" (25.6L) size, it’s a great pick when you want a smaller, snappier board that still carries speed and stays controlled when you push through turns. With an FCS II Tri/Quad fin setup, you can dial it as a thruster for predictability or as a quad for extra drive.

Why the Mini Driver Is So Fun

  • Quick and reactive: Shorter length and refined dims keep it lightning-fast in transitions.
  • Performance-focused control: Built for committed rail surfing and crisp top-to-bottom lines.
  • 25.6L balance: Lean, responsive volume for surfers who like a more performance-oriented feel.
  • Tri/Quad versatility: Thruster for control, quad for speed and down-the-line drive.

Fin Setup Tips: Thruster vs. Quad

The FCS II 5-fin setup makes it easy to tune the board to the day:

  • Thruster (tri-fin): More predictable hold and tighter arcs—great when the wave is steeper or you want a classic performance feel.
  • Quad: Faster down the line with extra drive—ideal for connecting sections and adding speed in softer surf.

Note: Fins are not included, so you can choose the FCS II templates that match your size, stance, and local conditions.

Who This 5'6" / 25.6L Mini Driver Is For

  • Surfers who prefer a smaller, more responsive performance shortboard
  • Riders looking for a board that feels snappy in tight pockets
  • Anyone who likes the option to run thruster or quad depending on conditions

FAQ: Lost Mini Driver 5'6" (25.6L) FCS II

Are fins included with this board?

No—this board is listed as fins not included. It uses an FCS II Tri/Quad (5-fin) setup, so you’ll need FCS II fins.

What waves is the Mini Driver best for?

It’s designed for performance surfing when the wave has enough shape to go top-to-bottom. With the right fins, it can still generate speed in everyday surf, but it really comes alive in cleaner, punchier conditions.

Should I ride it as a thruster or a quad?

Start with a thruster for control and predictability. Switch to a quad when you want more speed and drive down the line, especially in running walls or slightly softer surf.

Is 25.6L a low volume?

It’s on the performance-lean side, which many surfers prefer for responsiveness. Whether it’s “low” depends on your weight, fitness, and how much paddle help you want from your board.

What’s the benefit of a 5-fin (Tri/Quad) setup?

Versatility. You can run a thruster for a classic feel or a quad for speed and drive—essentially giving you two boards in one depending on the day.
