Versatile 7'6 Mid-Length

Torq designed the Mod Fun as a versatile board for a broad range of surfers and conditions. The 7'6" combines the paddle power and stability surfers expect from a mid-length with a shape designed to remain maneuverable once you're on your feet.

At 52.4 liters, the 7'6" provides substantial flotation without moving all the way up to a traditional longboard. This makes it an option for surfers looking for more paddle power and wave-catching ability while retaining a more compact board underfoot.

Easy Paddling and Wave Entry

The Mod Fun carries useful width and stability beneath the chest along with a medium-full nose. Torq pairs this outline with low-to-medium nose rocker to promote paddling speed, glide, and easier entry into waves.

Those characteristics make the Mod Fun approachable in smaller or weaker surf while still giving the board enough versatility for more energetic conditions.

Responsive from the Tail

The Mod Fun is designed to change character when the surfer moves back over the tail. A more pulled-in tail works with vee running from the center of the board through the fin area, helping the 7'6" feel more maneuverable than its length might suggest.

This balance between forward stability and a more refined tail is a key part of the Mod Fun's all-around design.

Built for a Wide Range of Conditions

Torq positions the Mod Fun as an all-around design capable of handling conditions ranging from weaker, waist-high surf through larger and more powerful waves. That versatility makes it useful for surfers who want one mid-length that can cover a broad range of everyday sessions.

Durable Epoxy Construction

This Torq Mod Fun uses epoxy construction designed around a balance of strength, durability, and manageable weight. Torq's Mod Fun range is built for regular use, making it well suited to surfers looking for a dependable everyday board.

Futures Thruster Fin Setup

This 7'6" Mod Fun uses a three-fin Futures thruster configuration. The thruster setup provides a familiar combination of drive, control, and predictable turning for surfers progressing from beginner equipment as well as experienced surfers looking for an easy-riding mid-length.

Fins are included with this board, so it comes with the basic fin setup needed to get it in the water.

Who Is the Torq Mod Fun 7'6 For?

The Mod Fun is designed to accommodate a wide range of ability levels. Newer surfers can benefit from the 7'6" length, 21 1/2" width, and 52.4-liter volume when developing paddling, wave-catching, and turning skills. More experienced surfers can use the same attributes for an easy-paddling board that still allows them to surf actively from the tail.

Torq lists the 7'6" Mod Fun for a broad rider-weight range, but surfboard sizing should also account for experience, fitness, local waves, and the type of surfing you want to do. Volume should be treated as one sizing reference rather than the only deciding factor.
