Surfboard shipping costs depend on the length, width, destination, and UPS size rules. Here's a clear breakdown:
- Boards under 5'11" and 21" wide: Standard UPS Ground, no oversize surcharge. Typical cost $65–$120 depending on destination. Exact live rates shown in cart at checkout.
- Boards over 5'11" or wider than 21": Considered oversized by UPS. Typical cost $150–$240 including oversize charges. Live pricing shown in cart before checkout.
- Boards over 8': Exceed standard UPS limits and cannot ship via regular UPS Ground. We offer free in-store pickup at Rider Shack in Los Angeles, or airport cargo pickup via freight (typically around $200). Please contact us for a personalized freight quote.
- California Coastal Delivery: We offer delivery to coastal cities from San Diego to San Francisco for a flat fee of $100. Please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.
- Free In-Store Pickup: All surfboards are available for free pickup at our Los Angeles store at 13211 W Washington Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90066.
- Free Weekly Meet-Ups: We offer free weekly meet-ups for deliveries along the coast from Ventura to Pismo Beach. Meet-up deliveries need to be coordinated with the shop in advance — please contact us to arrange.

The Thunderbolt Moe 6'10" in Thunderbolt Red construction brings the much-loved MOE design into a shorter, more performance-minded size that still keeps the easy ride, paddling power, and stability the range is known for. At 6'10" x 21 1/2" x 2 3/4" with 45 liters of volume, this board is a great option for surfers who want the glide and forgiveness of a mid-length-inspired shape with a more compact feel that blurs the line between performance surfboard and everyday utility board. Finished in a Light Blue colorway with red accents, it delivers standout style with premium construction and versatile wave range.
The MOE range was designed to offer an easy ride, strong paddling, and reliable support while still allowing surfers to carve confidently on a wider outline. The bottom is mostly flat with a double concave between the feet, a combination that helps generate speed while keeping the board lively and responsive through turns. Rails are kept moderately refined rather than overly full, adding sensitivity and control, and they transition from a neutral round shape up front to tucked edges through the fin area and low hard edges behind the fins for clean release, drive, and stability through turns and across choppy sections.
Foiled from forward of center through the tail, the Moe carries speed well and travels smoothly through whitewater sections while maintaining control and flow.
