Torq V+ buying guide
The Torq V+ is a funboard and midlength shape — At 7'4" to 8'2" it sits between a longboard and a standard midlength, giving you more paddle power than a shorter board without the full size commitment of a 9'0" longboard.
Who is the V+ for?
The V+ suits progressing surfers who want more paddle power and easier wave catching than a midlength or shortboard, surfers returning to surfing after time away, and anyone who wants a reliable everyday board that catches a lot of waves. At this length and width it is also a genuinely good board for intermediate surfers who want to focus on technique rather than struggling to catch waves on a shortboard.
Thruster and 2+1 setups
The V+ is available in thruster and 2+1 single fin configurations depending on the size and colorway. The thruster version gives you more shortboard-style performance. The 2+1 version gives you more glide and a traditional midlength feel. Most boards include fins — check the specific listing.
Fins included
Most V+ boards come with fins. Check the specific listing. Add a 7' or 8' leash — browsemidlength leashes.
V+ vs Torq Longboard
TheTorq Longboardis longer (8'0"–9'6") with more paddle power and more traditional longboard performance. The V+ is shorter and more maneuverable while still being easy to paddle. Choose the V+ if you want something between a shortboard and a full longboard.
