The CI Pod Mod is one of Channel Islands' step-down/groveler shape — a wide, flat-rockered, high-volume shortboard designed to generate speed and turns in weak, mushy surf. When standard performance shortboards feel stiff and sluggish in small surf, the Pod Mod creates its own speed.

Shape and performance

The Pod Mod has a wide rounded outline, flat rocker, and generous volume distributed evenly through the board. The flat rocker means it planes fast and early. The width keeps it stable and fast through flat sections. The 5-fin box lets you run thruster for more control or quad for more speed.

Torq epoxy version

TheTorq CI Pod Modis a machine-shaped epoxy version of the same shape at a lower price. Same outline and rocker, epoxy construction, good value entry point into the Pod Mod shape.
