Pyzel White Tiger buying guide
The White Tiger is Pyzel's full-volume small-wave shortboard — their Funformance shape. It is a 5-fin box performance shortboard with a squash tail, available in Futures and FCS II in PU fiberglass construction. Built for generating performance in smaller and weaker surf.
Shape and performance
The White Tiger has a squash tail — one of the most versatile tail shapes in surfing. Squash tails provide good hold through turns while releasing quickly off the tail. The 5-fin box lets you ride thruster for most conditions or switch to quad for more speed in small or hollow surf. It works well in everyday Southern California beach break — a strong choice for El Porto, Venice, or Malibu on average days.
White Tiger vs Ghost vs Phantom
Ghost — rounded pin tail, higher performance feel, more demanding. Best for consistent performance surfers. Phantom — squash tail, slightly more volume than Ghost, more forgiving. White Tiger — squash tail, most volume of the three, widest range of surfers who can surf it well. If you are new to Pyzel, the White Tiger is the most accessible starting point.
