Firewire Cymatic buying guide
The Cymatic is a high-performance shortboard in Firewire's Volcanic construction — a premium epoxy build that uses a parabolic carbon fiber frame for enhanced flex response and a more connected, lively feel underfoot. It is one of the most performance-oriented boards in the Firewire lineup.
Volcanic construction
Volcanic is Firewire's top-tier construction. A parabolic carbon frame runs through the board giving a very specific flex pattern — stiffer through the middle for pop and drive, softer through the rails and tail for rail engagement. Surfers who have ridden standard LFT Firewire boards and want more sensitivity and response will notice the difference immediately.
Shape
The Cymatic has a performance shortboard outline with refined concaves and a tail design that prioritises speed and rail-to-rail transitions. It runs a Futures 5-fin box — ride as a thruster for most conditions or quad when you want more speed in hollow or small surf.
Who is the Cymatic for?
The Cymatic is for experienced shortboarders who want Firewire's best-feeling construction in a performance shortboard shape. If you are new to Firewire, start with theDominator 2.0and work up to the Cymatic. If you have ridden LFT Firewire boards and want more response, the Cymatic is the upgrade.
