Firewire Dominator Pro buying guide
The Dominator Pro is the more refined, performance-oriented sibling of the Dominator 2.0. It carries less volume, a narrower outline, and a more sensitive flex pattern — built for surfers who want the board to respond immediately to foot pressure and rail engagement. All Dominator Pro boards are Futures 5-fin box in epoxy construction.
Who is the Dominator Pro for?
The Dominator Pro suits confident shortboarders who want maximum performance in average to good surf. It demands more from the surfer than the Dominator 2.0 — less volume means less forgiveness in paddle-out and in weaker waves, but more responsiveness when the waves have push. If your surfing is consistent and you want a board that rewards proper technique, the Dominator Pro is the step up from the 2.0.
Dominator Pro vs Dominator 2.0
TheDominator 2.0is wider, has more volume, and is more forgiving for a wider range of surfers and conditions. The Dominator Pro is narrower, more sensitive, and better suited to surfers who surf well consistently. When in doubt, start with the 2.0.
